- Rooting Voids your device’s Warranty
- Backup your important data.
- Your Galaxy Pocket should be on Official Firmware, not Custom Firmware.
- Make sure USB Drivers are installed properly in your computer.
- Make sure USB Debugging is enabled. Go to “Settings > Applications > Development” and Check USB Debugging.

How to Root and Install CWM Recovery on Galaxy Pocket GT-S5300:

Step 1 – Download The Update.zip file provided and connect your device to your computer.
Step 2 – Now move this file to your Phone’s SD card and disconnect your device from computer.
Step 3 – Now Turn Off your device.
Step 4 – Boot Into recovery Mode by Pressing Home, Volume Up and Power Button together until you see some text on screen.
Step 5 – Your device should be in Recovery mode now. From the Menu Select “Update from SD card”
Step 6 – Next choose the copied Update.zip file from SD card.
Step 7 – Reboot using the reboot option in Recovery options menu.
Your Galaxy Pocket is now Rooted. To verify, look for SuperSU app in your App Drawer. Now let’s install ClockworkMod Recovery on your Galaxy Pocket.
Step 8 – Now head over to Google play-store and download ROM manager app.
Step 9 – Open ROM Manager App.
Step 10 – Now tap on “Flash ClockWorkMod Recovery”. This will install ClockworkMod Recovery on your phone. Make sure your device is connected to an internet connection.
Step 11- Now you will have to choose your phone model. Select your phone model from list and it will download the ROM. Then Reboot your phone.
